ROCH

How to do with what we have ? How can we work on what already exists rather than overproducing ?

How far can we draw inspiration from nature ? The Roch Commode is a project that is close to my heart because it brings together both the questions and the challenges that I encounter every day in my business.

I am firmly convinced that certain materials have energy that radiates. For this work, the gathering of granite, coming from the depths of the earth, the vegetable moss growing without roots on its surface and able to regenerate infinitely, and the wood, rooted in this earth and taking flight towards the sky, provide a real positive energy to the whole. Recycled wood is a material that spreads well-being, the design and mastery of this know-how are only pretexts to make this energetic work visible.

Laurent,

Invitation to the cocktail party on Saturday April 6

On the occasion of the European Crafts Days, a national event organized by INMA, the showroom will be open to the public all day from Saturday April 6 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

We invite you for a special moment during the cocktail which will be held from 6:30 p.m. – this event is free but registration is required.

This is the opportunity to discover the Roch chest of drawers, a piece presented and created especially for the Révélations 2023 show in Paris, the International Crafts and Creation Biennale organized by the Ateliers Art de France.

Going green

Spring is here, nothing better to return to the project of this kitchen entitled “Going green”.

I usually present my projects to you in natural tones of wood and white, here green is like a common thread.

Both in painting on the main wall of the kitchen, with the zelliges of the splashback and of course with the superb “Lacanche Moderne series” lime finish, this green sets the tone for an intimate and personal project.

The breath of the architect

Architect or artist, art or craft, Bijoy Jain shows us several facets of his work in the exhibition “The Breath of the Architect” at the Fondation Cartier in Paris.

We had the opportunity to recently visit this exhibition which does not leave us indifferent. The aesthetic is sharp, the work on the material is inspiring, there is even a touch of spirituality especially when it refers to the creative “breath”. Breath is an energy that carries and connects what seems to be scattered. Bijoy Jain connects its different construction materials through the gesture and the hand of Man.

“I imagined and inhabited the space of the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain as that of a civilization in motion in an unknown era. An architecture made of water, air, light, an alchemy between entities linked by reciprocal affection and sharing the same mode of expression. From the inside to the outside. From the outside to the inside.”

Exhibition on view until April 21, 2024
